Active Release Technique
Dry Needling

Dry needling therapy is an effective modality used to treated myofascial trigger points throughout muscles (or in simpler terms, a technique used to stimulate blood flow and enhance your body’s natural healing response).

It works by inserting a sterile, thin needle into the affected tissue. The hypersensitive area of the muscle tissue will elicit a “twitch response” and the muscle relaxes and resets the involved area. The needle may then be left in for a longer period of time to stimulate blood flow to the area and enhance the bodies natural healing response.

Note: Dry needling is different from acupuncture .
